Why foster with Children Always First?
The benefits of CAF
24-hour support
We recognise that fostering comes with its challenges. It’s essential to us that you never feel isolated. That’s why we provide a 24-hour support line, and each household is assigned a supervising social worker for ongoing support.
Sector-leading training
We offer all of our foster carers, both new and experienced, access to extensive training specific to their needs. All training is flexible and can be delivered online or on the weekends, if necessary. It’s our job to ensure you’re ready for anything.
Dedicated youth team
Our dedicated youth workers add an extra layer of support. Each child aged five years and over is allocated their own youth worker, who will work alongside you, mentoring and engaging with your foster child ensuring children are able to reach their full potential.
Therapeutic parenting focus
Therapeutic parenting is about creating a sense of belonging in the foster parent/child relationship. We offer support and training for any foster carer to adopt a therapeutic parenting style of parenting.
We specialise in youth work and therapeutic care
Most fostering agencies have a specific focus or strength.
For us, we’re incredibly proud to be the only agency in the West Midlands with a dedicated youth team. This means that all CAF foster carers enjoy ongoing, regular support from our youth workers, all of whom are highly skilled in both 1-2-1 and group activities with foster children/young people.
We also have our own clinical lead, whose role it is to run therapeutic groups, both for carers and children. We pride ourselves on offering the very highest levels of support.
Sector-leading youth work
From nights spent camping to one-on-one activity days, our youth workers are specialists in being whatever a foster child needs – which is often a mixture of supporter, mentor, and professional; it’s their role to help your foster child learn to build healthy relationships.
Specialised support
You’re never alone when fostering through CAF. Our support team are here 24/7, whenever you need us. We also offer a broad range of clinical support as and when required, both for yourself and for your foster child.
