Fostering Social Worker – Fostering

Due to continued success and expansion we have a rare vacancy for a Fostering Social Worker.

We are looking to attract people who can envisage a long term career with us delivering excellence to our carers, children and young people.

All applicants must be qualified HCPC registered Social Workers . It would be advantageous to have experience in Fostering BUT we need the right attitude as detailed below more than any prescribed experience.

We are looking for a child-focused, nurturing, friendly ‘can do’ qualified social worker to fit within our tight knit happy team. We have fantastic carers and quality well-resourced support easily available in order that our Social Workers can positively affect outcomes for children. Our Social Workers are valued members of our team and have caseloads of 8 or less in order to meet our high standards. We work utilising PACE, DDP and Social Pedagogy in order to inform our therapeutic parenting.

The position is based at our office in Bromsgrove. The successful applicant will be trained by us to DDP level 2 so will already need to think therapeutically about children with particular regard to their making and maintaining positive attachments.

Children Always First is the first organisation in the UK to be DDP certified by the Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy Institute and prides itself on being an ethical fostering agency which truly puts the needs of children first
