Lock Down Summary

What a weird time it has been for everyone over the past few weeks! We have all had to make changes to our daily lives and this has included how we deliver our support to carers and children under government guidelines to “Stay Home”.  The youth team have come up with new and exciting ways to still deliver an abundance of activities to our young people as well as still offering the quality 1:1 mentoring our children so need.

CAF has essentially gone “online” and become “virtually” operational. With mentoring sessions now being held via video call and activities being sent out in the post, via email and through CAF’s new YouTube channel, the youth team are always brainstorming new ideas to keep everyone engaged!

We have had virtual quizzes, baking videos and science experiments, to growing seeds, scavenger hunts and design competitions – the list is endless! All of the above has been about ensuring we can have as much interaction and fun as possible but in a safe environment to make lockdown a bit more fun!

Our newest venture has been the “Zoom Room” in which we have held a virtual youth club for young people to catch up and chat with each other as well as playing games like bingo and play your cards right. This has been enjoyed by all 😊
